Overview
Advance Quests are a special set of Quests that offers plentiful EXP and various drops. Although outclassed by other methods of EXP farms, these Quests were originally used as a primary source of efficient EXP gains.
From this point forward, Advance Quests will be abbreviated as AQ.
Advance Capsules
- Advance Capsules are entry items used to participate in AQs.
- There are 6 types of capsules, from A to F. VH difficulty requires one of A to C, and SH difficulty requires 10 of D to F before starting the Quest. Note that Advance Capsules cannot be traded.
- The above number is the number required for each participating player. All players will pay one by one, but party leaders have to option to pay for everyone in the party.
- The payment is done at the yellow gate in the Gateway Ship. Afterwards, prematurely exiting the Quest due to abandonment or disconnection will not give back the spent capsules.
- Advance Capsules can be obtained via enemy drops during AQs, purchased from Item Shops, Astracite Exchange Shop, Casino Exchange Shop, or Battle Coin Exchange Shop.
- Due to the Item Shop offering the capsules for high Meseta prices, it is not recommended to purchase them that way, and instead obtain them during AQs.
AQ Threat Level
- Everytime an AQ is cleared, the Threat Level of the cleared Quest increases by +1. The enemy Lv, infected enemy spawn rate, and rare boss enemy spawn rate increases as Threat Level increases.
- At high Threat Level, EXP and Rare Drop Rates can be expected to increase due to infected enemies.
- On SH difficulty, if the Threat Level is 10 or higher, the capsule drop rate will increase.
- The current enemy level limit is 60 for VH and 80 for SH. The enemy Lv increases by 1 for every +2 Threat Level.
- The current Threat Level limit is 50. Once the limit is reached, the Threat Level will not change from +50 until a weekly reset occurs.
- The Threat Level is reset at the same time exactly one week after registering the moment when the Threat Level is raised.
- The Threat Level is recorded separately for each Player Character, each Quest, and each difficulty level. Threat Level can be checked in the Quest Selection list.
- In a party, the Threat Level of the AQ is based on the party leader's.
- When the Quest is cleared, the Threat Level of the corresponding Quest for all participating players is increased by +1.
Raising the Threat Level
- A system that allows you to start high Threat Level AQs from the beginning by paying an additional capsule in addition to the initial payment fee.
- The party leader can pay 1 capsule per +1 Threat Level increase.
- Only the Threat Level of the corresponding Quest for the party leader increases with this system. The Threat Level of the other participating players do not get the increase.
Features of AQ
- Time Limit
The time limit for all AQs is 1 hour. Joining the party will be closed when the gate opens. It is impossible to join back even if the player leaves the party from disconnection. - E-Trials
There are fewer types of E-Trials than usual, and some are modified for AQs.- There is a chance for ARKS Clone to appear.
- Parallel Areas have a chance to appear.
- Certain Dark Falz enemies have a chance to appear.
- Weather
Can change frequently. - PSE (Photon Sensitive Effect)
- Due to the large number of spawning enemies, PSE Bursts are more likely to occur.
- Often recommended to have a full party of players to get the most efficiency out of a PSE Burst.
- Item Drops
- As part of AQs, all enemies can have a chance to drop Advance Capsules and Photon Boosters.
- In addition, the Red Weapon Series in VH and Revolsio Weapon Series in SH can drop.
Enemies
- Even in a 4 person party, there are plentiful spawns for enemies that compare to a 12 person area spawn.
- The HP of all enemies that spawn in AQs are reduced by 30% compared to other Quests.
- The spawn rate of rare enemies are considerably much higher for all enemies, including Mesetan and Tagamikazuchi. Rare Enemy Appearance Rate Up PSE also occurs in the whole area, further boosting the spawn rate.
- Enemies will not spawn back at the same place they are defeated in.
- Depending on the Quest, the Boss area enemy is randomly selected from two types. As an exception, only the Underground Shafts is fixed with Big Varder.
- From +10 and above for SH, enemy Lv will become Lv71 and higher, resulting in much higher HP for them.
- Drop rates for capsules are increased as well as Lv 17 Discs are able to drop.
