Main Features

  • When the Mag reaches the 2nd Stage at level 30, it can transform into a photon based avatar and unleash a "Photon Blast" with a variety of attacks and supportive effects.
    Each photon based avatar has three types to them. Proi, Imera, and Nifta, and one of those is learned depending on the status of the Mag.
    • However, only Proi can be obtained with the Mag in its 2nd Stage. The types are split off into the three other types starting at the 3rd Stage of the Mag.
      • In other words, a Mag can learn Photon Blast not when it reaches a certain level, but when it changes forms.
  • The Photon Blast and Auto Action are set individually for each Mag, and if the current Mag changes to another form from the result of leveling in multiples of 5 levels, it will change accordingly.
  • PB Devices are available at the EX-Cube Shop. This will allow you to freely change the Photon Blast of the Mag regardless of form.
    • However, be aware that even after using the PB Device, if the Mag changes to another form from the result of leveling in multiples of 5 levels, it will change accordingly.
  • If an Evolution Device is used, the Mag will not change forms from the result of leveling in multiples of 5 levels, so it is possible to prevent any changes to the Photon Blast and Auto Actions of the Mag from changing forms.
  • Photon Blasts can be used as an active skill by setting it on the Sub-Palette.
  • Photon Blasts can be activated by accumulated gauges similar to Fused Techniques. The gauge is filled by dealing or taking damage.
    • The easiness of accumulating gauges changes depending on the type of Photon Blast. Cetus Proi is the most likely PB to accumulate, while the others are 1.4 times less likely to accumulate.
    • The rate of the gauge increase from dealing damage is determined by how much of the Max HP is dealt to the target, and if there is overkill damage, a certain amount is also taken into account.
    • The rate of increase has a higher effect depending on the number of party members in your party. (2 / 3 / 4) respectively (1.05x / 1.1x / 1.2x). There is no difference whether the party member is a player or NPC.
    • The gauge does no accumulate from the attacks of the Photon Blast itself.
  • The display portion of the Photon Blast gauge is the rim of the PB icon set in the Sub-Palette.
  • When the PB gauge is filled out, the circular icon to the left of the character's name in the lower left corner of the screen shines silver to indicate that a PB is available.
  • If you press and hold the icon while activating PB, a circle will appear around the character and it will be in an activation standby state. Characters in this state are invulnerable and can last up to 10 seconds. The timing of the when the invulnerability runs out is the moment when the PB appears. If the character is suffering from a status ailment at the time of activation, it is canceled.
  • Photon Blasts can link players together in whats called a "PB Chain".
  • The power of the Photon Blast is dependent on the player's stats, including Mag stats.
    • The damage varies depending on the level of the Mag.
    • Some class skills also affect the Mag.
    • In the case of Harmonizers with Pets, the Pet's stats is also taken into account.
  • The stats on the equipped weapon when activating PB also affects its power. Depending on the type of the PB, the power may change in real time if you change weapons during activation.
    • The Potential of the weapon has effect on the PB.
    • The Element Value has no effect.
  • The PB will attack onto the locked on target when activated.

All skills that affect Melee, Ranged, and Technique damage are not taken into account.

The subsequent shocks has a stun effect. The range of the shock is wider than normal.

A total of 7 pillar of light-like attacks rain down on you at different times. Headshots are more likely to occur, but it may not hit some enemies due to the attacks falling towards the center coordinates of the target.
The number of shots increases when chained.

The laser is emitted towards the locked on target, but the direction of the laser can be controlled to some extent by inputting direction.
The duration of the laser increases during the chain, and the laser will moved back and forth according to the number of chains.

Photon Blast Chain

If you press and hold the button used to activate Photon Blast, a circle will appear around the character and it will be in a standby state.
At this time, a PB Chain is performed when another player activates a PB and the circles overlap eachother. You can press and hold this state for up to 10 seconds.
Once the chain is created, you can increase the range and duration of the Photon Blasts and the power of the attacks.

The first person in the circle will be the main person in the chain, so the second and subsequent people in the circle can let go of their button.
If you are the second or later player and you activate it immediately after letting go of the button while being too far away from the main player, you will not be able to chain. The PB is activated when the main player in the chain lets go of the button, or when the duration time of the standby effect finishes.
