Overview

Arms Extension allows you to craft weapons and armor to rewrite their performance labeled in their corresponding craft recipes. This in turn allows you to craft your favorite weapons and armor and raise them above their normal values.
Arms Extension also makes it possible to craft weapons with additional class equippability to them.
Arms Extension can be done in your Personal Quarters on your Personal Terminal.

1 to 13 Weapons and 1 to 11 units can be used for Arms Extension.
Harmonizers and Subunits cannot be crafted.

Has fixed attack power regardless of the original weapon.
The limits of performance that can be extended have been updated several times, making it somewhat inferior to top-class weapons, but in line enough to be practical.
Special Attack Power

Special attack powers such as TEC Pwr on Melee and Ranged weapons will disappear.
Equipable Classes
(Weapon)
Only classes that can be equipped by default will be available, and weapons that can be equipped by other classes will be lost on the weapon.
Since Gunblades are originally compatible with all classes, there is no change.
The number of classes that can be equipped may increase from Great Success.
There are support items that will guarantee the effect of Great Success.
Equipment Requirements
(Common)
There will be a fixed requirement regardless of the original item.
Those with special stat requirements are integrated into the equipment requirements determined by category.
The requirement may be lower than the specified value from Great Success
There are support items that will guarantee the effect of Great Success and support items that can change the stat requirement.
Owner Registration
(Common)
Since owner registration is made regardless of rarity, you cannot trade nor put it on your Personal Shop etc.
Using a Cancel Owner Registration Pass will allow the item to be traded, but will reset any crafted properties on it.
Defense Power
(Unit)
Has fixed defense power regardless of the original unit.The limits of performance that can be extended have been updated several times, making it somewhat inferior to top-class units, but in line enough to be practical.
Resistance
(Unit)
All resistances of the original unit disappears.
Only specialized extension recipes can increase resistance or element resistance.
HP/PP Increase
(Unit)
Regardless of the original unit, the HP/PP increase effect will be fixed depending on the recipe.
  • Additional Notes
    • Equipment Requirements: For Gunblade, Katana, and Bow, their requirements are changed to DEX.

Performance After Extension

Crafting will overwrite the stats of the equipment as detailed in the crafting recipe. Note that extending equipment that originally has high stats may result in a loss of stats.
The stats after crafting will be better for higher extension level recipes.
Crafting weapons to their limit will result in baseline power similar to 14 and 15 weapons.

Relationship with Skills

For Techter's Wand Reactor skill, since the Melee Power of the weapon itself increases, a very high DEX is required to sufficiently reduce the damage variance.
For Bouncer's Crafting Mastery skill, since the bonus is not added to the attack power of the weapon but treated the same as an Augment, it does not affect the damage variance.

Relationship with Enhancement Value

Crafted weapons have almost the same attack power at maximum enhancement value regardless of rarity.

Owner Registration

Crafting equipment will cause the item to be registered to you, making it impossible to trade it or be put up on your Personal Shop.

  • Each category of recipes require PA Fragment (Melee), PA Fragment (Ranged), or PA Fragment (Technique) respectively.

Armor Extension

  • Overview
    • When extending armor, all stats except for the appearance, set effect, and Augments will be rewritten to the stats according to the recipe.
      • Specifically, the original stat requirements, defense power, HP / PP Increase values, MEL/RNG/TEC Resistances, and Element Resistances are all rewritten.
      • Has the same stats regardless of rarity.
    • Subunits cannot be crafted.
  • Stat Requirements
    • Using Gear Requirement Assist items will greatly reduce the stat requirement.
  • Defense Power
    • When crafted to the max extension level, the defense power will be almost the same as 11 armor from bosses.
  • Changes to resistances and HP / PP increase values.
    The largest drawback when extending armor.
    • All units have individual MEL/RNG/TEC Resistances and HP / PP increases as hidden stats, but when crafting, these stats are also rewritten.
    • Oridinary armor extension recipes except for the three specialized craft recipes noted below have low HP / PP increase values, and 0% MEL/RNG/TEC resistances.
  • Classification of craft recipes
    • A separate recipe is used for each part (Back, Arms, Legs).
      In addition, ther are three types of recipes for each extension level (ExLv.): MEL Def / RNG Def / TEC Def.
      • At ExLv 3, 8, and 10, there are three types of specialized recipes for each of those: MEL Def (HP) / RNG Def (PP) / TEC DEF (Element).

Specialized Craft Recipes

  • Overview
    • Refers to the three types of recipes: MEL Def (HP) / RNG Def (PP) / TEC DEF (Element). Known as "Specialized Craft".
    • In addition to the same defense power as the normal recipe, they have higher HP / PP increases and resistances (hidden stats).
    • Only exists for ExLv 3, 8, and 10.
