Overview

Though there are some exceptions, the general rule of thumb is that Augments with a lower numeral and/or "type" name cannot be affixed onto the same piece of equipment (e.g., Might III and Might IV, Gigas Technique and Gigas Might, Doldor Soul and Gladia Soul, etc.).

Augments on the Personal Shop are denoted with C/, so Precision IV, as an example, can be found on the Personal Shop under C/Precision IV.

Fused Augments

Fused Augments are Augments that have been fused in the Item Lab using Fusia Augments. Fused Augments generally have prefixes like "Sta", "Spi", "Deft", and "Gua" for the respective stat it boosts. Fused Augments cannot be stacked or used in conjunction with their original respective Augment type or series. For example, "C/Sta Might" cannot be used alongside "C/Might", "C/Melra Dualble" cannot be used alongside "C/Sta Triplble", and so forth.

Basic Augments can be combined with each other, provided they do not have the same name.

These Augments provide boosts respective to their designated Duel Quest Phases, and are only active under certain conditions. Defi Augments can be applied to armor, but their effects will only be active when a Main Class weapon is equipped. In the case of Multi-weapons, if one is a Main Class weapon and the other is a weapon for a different Class, the effect will only be applied while used as a Main Class weapon.
Defi Augments of the same Phase can be used on the same piece of equipment.

Preset Skills

Preset Skills are a unique type of Augment that can randomly drop on equipment Obtained by defeating enemies in battle. Unlike normal Augments, Preset Skills are determined when the equipment is dropped, do not take up normal slots, do not provide any BP, and come in "Levels" much like Potentials. Preset Skills are indicated by orange text on the equipment and a unique orange icon. Preset Skills on equipment can be transferred to another piece of equipment in the Item Lab, provided the two pieces of equipment are the same name. They can also be enhanced to increase their level at a 10% chance, though this requires any Preset Skill of a similar level or higher.
