Hi, I am a Bureaucrat of the Arks-Visiphone. I don't own the site, but I maintain the editing side of it as there was no interest, activity, or pages for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis when the game had launched on June 2021.
If there are any technical issues or outages with the site, please kindly let the staff know at Phantasy Star Fleet's #en-wiki-development, as I don't own the site, nor am I affiliated with Phantasy Star Fleet. I just like to contribute to wikis for several games.
If you'd like to help out with the wiki, please feel free to read the User:Harrison/Wiki Directives page. Thank you for all the help!
If you want a basic rundown on how people extract images or text from in-game files for your own use (I don't care how you use it, this wiki, other wiki, your own guide or site), just send me a DM on Discord that's not just a random message like "Hi". I won't offer tech support on this matter after the basic rundown.
This page was last updated on June 4th, 2024. I am at a total of 32,793 edits as of this date.
- I just have no interest for the game. In my previous notice, I've mentioned that I barely play this game since August 2022 — this bit is still true.
- From a personal point of view, which you are free to disagree with, there hasn't been much value putting in hours of extra work on this wiki due to the low engagement rate or care of the wiki. This wiki doesn't appear to get much views, doesn't show up on search results, or is just down most of the time, compared to other projects I work on.
- This one is one of the bigger reasons, but I manage and work on multiple wikis. While this isn't my first rodeo managing multiple wikis, it definitely takes a toll on a person. There were days where I ditched my schedule to work on this place for 16 hours straight. It's not fun work, it's actually miserable to be honest, even as a hobby. If I want to work for hours straight, I'd like to do it at a more relaxed pace, even if it means sacrificing punctuality or reliability.
- The backlog I can think of is too much for me to even consider working on. I know I haven't updated the cosmetic pages to have all the rerun sources, I know the enemy pages haven't been updated, I have a good idea of everything that hasn't been updated, even adding details onto essentially blank pages like the Leciel page. It's been like this for months, and I kinda don't blame people for not wanting to get their hands dirty, since I wouldn't even know where to start. It's already daunting enough to use my free time to deal with the weekly additions. I don't know how the people at swiki deal with this every week, even adding the most boring information on the Limited-Quest pages, they must have like 20 people on board.
- This isn't personal, but it's hard to work on something that most people don't care about anymore. I've seen more people ragging on this place instead of being helpful and pointing out errors. This place could go down for weeks and no one would notice because everyone who used to work on this place gave up years ago. You can call me whatever you want or judge me however you want, but after working on this place out of my own free will for over 2 years without any compensation or any reward, I think that I at the very minimum have the right to throw in the towel to work on and invest more time in other projects that are more appreciated.
