Enemies: | DOLLS | ALTERS | FORMERS | Starless | Ruinus | Special Enemies | TAMES |
Enemy EXP |
Enemies such as DOLLS units and Alters spawn in the field.
Note that some enemies have weak points, and others will become stronger under certain conditions.
DOLLS
The DOLLS are enigmatic enemies that ARKS battle against. Some DOLLS units can change their color to red during battle, or after receiving a certain amount of damage, to increase their attack power and change their behavior.
The yellow core is their weak point, so target it to deal more damage.
Alters
Alters are organic enemies that alter their forms during the night, often growing glowing red blades on various parts of their bodies. Given these changes in strength, it may be necessary to only take them on during the day, and avoid them at night when they're at their toughest.
Each Alter has a yellow eye on their body that acts as a weak point. Some Alters may require destroying armored parts before becoming a weak point.
Formers
Formers are enemies that bear a striking resemblance to certain enemies from PSO2, such as Sylvants or Automata.
Tames
Tames are animal enemies that can drop Meat when killed. Most will attempt to flee when attacked, but some will be aggressive and can attack when agitated.
Starless
The Starless are mysterious entities that have emerged from space. Many of the Starless strongly resemble the DOLLS units that the ARKS have encountered.
Starless enemies have unique abilities that can empower other enemies and can weaken the player.
Rare Enemies
Rare Enemies are of a different color variation of normal enemies and bosses. The have increased experience and drop rewards over their default versions.
In Exploration Sectors, groups of the same Tame or normal enemies have a chance of spawning as Rare Enemies of the same coloration. Rare versions of normal enemies may spawn accompanied by Enhanced Enemies.
In Combat Sectors, the chance that any enemy spawns increases as the PSE Level goes up, with a guaranteed Rare Enemy Boss spawn during a PSE Climax.
Two titles exist:
- Silver: Have a silvery metallic appearance and an aura of silver metallic sparkles. All Silver Enemies drop 2x the N-meseta of their normal version. Silver Tames drop additional Meat and rarely Silver Primm Swords. Silver Normal Enemies have a chance of dropping Silver Primm Swords. Silver Bosses always drop a Silver Primm Sword.
- Golden: Have a golden metallic appearance with an aura of yellow metallic sparkles. All Gold Enemies drop 5x the N-meseta. Golden Tames drop additional Meat and rarely Gold Primm Swords and Silver Primm Swords. Golden Normal Enemies have a chance of dropping Gold Primm Swords and Silver Primm Swords. Golden Bosses always drop a Gold Primm Sword and may drop Silver Primm Swords. Veteran Bosses may also spawn with the yellow metallic sparkle aura and will drop 2 or 3 Golden Primm Swords when killed.
Captans
Captans are enemies that appear in Exploration Sectors and Combat Sectors on rare occasions. A Captan will only spawn with its respective Emergency Trial. When you defeat them you can obtain various Augment Capsules, which may include higher value capsules such as Mastery I - IV, Dread Keeper I - III, and Gigas Augments I - III. Captans may also appear in certain Limited-Time Quests available during Seasonal Events. The rarity and tier of Augment Capsules obtained will depend on the defeated Captan's level, for instance a Captan that spawns in West Aelio will only have an inherent level of 7 and may only drop Mastery I, while a Captan that appears in a Level 60 Combat Sector will have a chance to drop Mastery IV.
Captan spawns can be noticed in certain Emergency Trials if the trial contains an additional wave, where the Captan will spawn as an additional last wave after completing all the waves of the designated trial. For example, an Emergency Trial that usually has 0/2 waves will appear with 0/3 waves.
Enhanced Enemy
Enhanced Enemies are Normal Enemies and Bosses that have been pierced by a mysterious object called an Enhancer, which allows them to enhance themselves. They glow with a red shield aura that reduces all damage not done to the Enhancer to minuscule amounts. The Enhancer is considered a weak point and when destroyed removes the red shield aura, replacing it with a blue aura, allowing for normal damage to be inflicted. Enhanced Enemies may spawn as part of a Trial in Combat and Gathering Zones or "escorting" a group of Rare Enemies in Gathering Zones.
Enhanced Enemies drop an additional 100 and have a rare chance to drop Vialto Armor: Arga, Vialto Armor: Belta, Vialto Armor: Sheza, and the Evolcoat Series.
At High Rank Combat Sectors or levels, Enhanced Enemies have a chance to drop the Obsidia Weapon Series.
Equalizing Enemy
Equalizing Enemies are a type of enemy variant that appear in Lv. 40+ Combat Sectors. Equalizing Enemies have the ability to buff other nearby enemies. Enemies buffed by this effect will not take much damage. Destroying the Equalizing Enemies will weaken other nearby enemies, allowing you to deal much more damage to them.
At High Rank Combat Sectors or levels, Equalizing Enemies have a chance to drop N-Class-EX-Cubes of any kind.
Megalotix Enemy
Megalotix Enemies are a unique variant of enemies that exclusively appear in Level 35+ Combat Sectors. Megalotix enemies are coated with a cyan, crystal-like sheen, and depending on the level, may have considerably stronger attack power than Gigantix Enemies.
Megalotix Enemies drop increased amounts of , Arms Refiner, and the Megas Fusia augment. They may also drop Fused Augments, such as Gua Precision and Sta Might.
One title exists:
- Elite: Has a cyan, crystal-like sheen as their appearance. All Elite Enemies drop increased amounts of and enhancement materials than their normal version.
Ancient Enemy
Ancient Enemies are incredibly powerful enemies found in the caves of Rayjord Gorge that have the "Ancient" designation. Not only are they even more powerful than Gigantix, but healing effects are reduced inside the caves, so make sure you're ready.
Ancient Enemies are known to drop Icicle Cubes, which can be used to exchange for shop items in the Kvaris Exchange Shop. Ancient Enemies will spawn approximately every 10 minutes in the cave of Rayjord Gorge. The spawn timer begins once a player has created a room instance, and once the Ancient Enemy has been defeated. The weather in the Kvaris Region is not known to have any influence with the spawn conditions.
When the conditions are met, when Ancient Enemies spawn, they will be encased in an ice structure titled "????". In order to completely spawn the Ancient Enemy, players must break the ice structure by attacking it, where then the Ancient Enemy will appear. Currently, only two Ancient Enemies exist- Ancient Ams Kvaris and Ancient Frostyl Sword.
Dread Enemy
Dread Enemies, better known as Veterans, are stronger high level versions of bosses that will only spawn in specific areas.
One title exists:
- Veteran: Have a "overgrown with moss" coloration added. Have a much higher HP and deal greater damage than trial versions of the same level. Gives out higher EXP and a chance of dropping Dread Keeper I and Dread Keeper II capsules when defeated. Higher level Dread Enemies drop Dread Keeper III, Dread Keeper IV.
Dread Enemy Spawn Conditions
Dread Enemies will spawn in their set locations approximately 5 minutes after a player creates a room. A room is the instance that is created whenever a player joins a particular sector.
Should a Dread Enemy be defeated, the defeated Dread Enemy will respawn after 5 minutes have elapsed, provided all the spawn condition criteria is met.

Gigantix Enemies can be fought at Battledia Purple Trigger Portals.
Gigantix Enemies drop exclusive items, such as the Geant Armor, the Straga Series, and Gigas Augment Capsules. Gigantix Enemies at Lv. 49+ have a chance to drop up to 3 Photon Scales. Gigantix Enemies in the Stia region may drop Infernium.
One title exists:
- Malevolent: Malevolent enemies have a purple sheen to them and emit a purple aura.
Recon Gigants
Recon Gigants are a series of Gigantix Enemies that appear in exploration sectors of the Stia region. Unlike most Gigantix Enemies, Recon Gigants are composed of a group of normal enemies with the Gigantix enemy modifiers. Continuously defeating all the Recon Gigants in a provided sector will spawn a specific Gigantix Boss once the conditions are met.
Recon Gigants and their associated bosses have a chance to drop exclusive items, such as Infernium, Eclaireur Armor, and the Gunblaze Series.
Gigantix Bosses will randomly spawn in set locations in the following regions:
