Madam's Umbrella originally appeared in Phantasy Star Online as a rare partisan that boosted the range of Shifta and Deband and had a passive TP regeneration effect, with a very specific equipment restriction, being that it could only be equipped by female characters. It then appeared again in Phantasy Star Universe, but this time as a sword, and could be equipped by both male and female characters.
The actual weapon of this (not available on Global) has both MEL power and TEC power, and can be equipped by all classes, most likely a nod to how it functioned originally in PSO.
This weapon also has its own Weaponoid, a personification based on weapons created by combining human personality samples using cutting-edge technology. The Weaponoid Madam's Umbrella is a woman with blonde hair and light blue eyes, in a blue dress with white, gold and purple accessories.
