Gunner is a returning class in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis.
A class geared towards close range combat, that excels at wielding ranged weapons point-blank. They make light work of enemies with their great mobility and relentless torrent of bullets.

Class Weapon Overview

Gunners have access to two unique weapons: Twin Machineguns (NGS) Twin Machine Guns and Rifle (NGS) Rifles.

Twin Machine Guns

A pair of lightweight, rapid-firing ranged weapons that serve as the primary weapon of Gunners. While their shots deal relatively low damage, they make up for this with the sheer amount of hits they can rain on enemies in a short amount of time, and possess versatile mobility. While TMGs are considered a Ranged weapon, their ideal attack range is medium to point-plank range, where they will deal increased damage.

Using the Stylish Roll Weapon Action allows you to stylishly evade attacks, reposition yourself in midair, and shoot at the same time.

Rifles

A heavy-duty rifle loaded with bullets. Possesses a high rate of attack as well as extreme precision. Rifles have a unique property of dealing increased damage for attacking at medium range.

The Sliding Shot Weapon Action performs an evasive slide forward, backwards, or to the sides while shooting at the same time. This allows the Gunner to keep their distance from an enemy to avoid damage as well as shoot at the same time.

While the Rifle is better suited at fighting from longer ranges than the Twin Machine Guns, the Gunner lacks many of the Class Skills that enhance the Rifle, so the weapon is instead more regarded as a side weapon at times.

Chain Trigger
Unleashed by hitting an enemy with a charged Photon Art. For a set time, the Chain Number increases each time you hit. Landing another charged Photon Art during this time launches a Chain Finisher Boost, increasing damage dealt for a set time, according to the Chain Number.
