Within Matches

When a player matches with another player (or NPC), the player's ARKS ID and the opponents ARKS ID will be shown. In the case of a Ranked Battle, both player's ranking points will also be shown. For players new to Ranked Battle, their initial ranking will be "Pending," but the default appears to be 1,500.
Once the players are matched together, both players will select a deck to use before the game starts.

Start of Match

Both Players will draw 5 cards, and gain 3 PP. A preview of the first draw is presented - players have the option to redraw the starting hand, though the hand is hidden until both players have made a decision.

Draw Phase (Name Pending)

At the start of each turn, both players draw 1 card and gain 3 PP.

Both players can then place their cards - their actions are not shown until both players hit the Battle Button and the game switches to the Card Open Phase.

Card Open (Battle) Phase

In this phase, all cards placements are made.

Then, the respective card effects occur.

Afterwards, once the board has settled into its final state, the line damage calculation takes place.

  • For each line, whoever has the highest total attack wins the line for that round and attacks the base.
    • 1 damage is dealt per card in the line that has non-zero attack.
    • In the case of a draw where both players having matching total attack, both players attack.

After the battle calculation is done, if neither player has destroyed two bases, then the Draw Phase is repeated.

Cards

There are many Cards with varying PP costs and Attack Damage. Cards all have elements. Some Cards have special skills.

There are three Skill types tied to cards:

  • Support: These affect the player's board.
    • E.g. Buff Ally - increase the attack power of cards in certain locations on the player's board
  • Disrupt: These affect the opponent's board.
    • E.g. Debuff Enemies - reduce the attack power of cards certain locations on the opponent's board
  • Passive: These are always active.
    • E.g. United Force - Increases the personal attack power of the card based upon the number of cards on the board (excluding itself).

Support Cards will activate first, followed by Disrupt cards. Both Support and Disrupt cards will only activate once when initially played.

  • Card effects activate in sequential order of them being placed depending on their category of being Support or Disrupt.

Summoning and Overwrite Summoning

Placing a card on the field is referred to as "Summoning" and consumed PP based on the indicated value in the top left of the card.

Players can summon as long as they have cards to summon and the PP to support summoning. Up to 10 unspent PP may be carried over into the next turn.

Placing a new card on top of an existing card is referred to as "Overwrite Summoning". As long as the new card has the same Element and a greater PP cost than the existing card on the field, it can be overwritten by spending the difference in PP cost only. However, any active effects on that existing card are not carried over to the new card.
