Techter

The Techter Techter ("Te") class is a specialized Tech class that focuses on supporting allies and blending Tech and melee combat. Using their specialized weapon, the Wand, the Techter is able to approach the front lines of the battlefield and use Technique-augmented Melee attacks to cut down waves of foes all at once. Their Skill Tree boosts the capabilities of Support-type Techniques, as well as elemental attributes not covered by the Force class, making them incredibly viable as both a Main and Sub Class.

Reaching Level 75 on this class will give the following bonuses to the base stats of all classes and all characters of the same account: +2 PP, MEL+15, TEC+50, RNG Def+10.

Class Weapon Overview

Techters use two unique weapons: Wand Wands and Talis Talis

Wand

Wands are general purpose Technique casting weapons with a sizable amount of base TEC TEC. They also have good MEL MEL, as they are able to be used in melee combat, thanks to the Techter Techter's skills in their tree. Wands can be powered up with the Skill Wand Focus, which allows them to create Technique "explosions" when striking enemies with melee attacks that inflict additional damage and strike all enemies near the blast.

Talis

Talis are Technique casting weapons that can be thrown to manipulate the focal point of technique casting. Effectively, this can allow the player to cast techs from different positions without actually moving. However, Talises possess lower TEC TEC than Rods to balance their superior mobility and more accessible range.

Class and Weapon Related Skills

Wand Focus

Wand Skill. Charges your Focus Gauge when you hit an enemy with a Charged Technique and activates Photonic Fury when you perform a Normal Attack.

Icon Skill Name Prerequisite Skill Level
1
UIIconWandFocus.png Wand Focus Tech. Power Up 1 Lv1 -
  • Overview
    • If you hit an enemy with your weapon with accumulated Focus, Photonic Fury will trigger and will cause an additional blast.
    • Focus Gauge accumulates when you fully charge a Technique and decreases over time.
      • You don't need a full Focus Gauge to trigger Photonic Fury as it be active with any amount of gauge.
    • Focus Gauge will be fixed to Max with the Wand Lovers Skill.
  • Explosion Range
    • The range is large enough to even hit enemies behind you depending on where the hit is.
    • The explosion occurring is separate from the actual Wand hit, so it may hit or miss a different part of the enemy on Wand hits.
  • About Overlapping Explosions
    • If the Wand hits multiple enemies, each hit on the enemy will trigger a Photonic Fury explosion, additionally hitting every enemy caught in the explosion.
  • Damage Calculation
    • Photonic Fury explosions use a different formula for calculating damage.
Attribute Affected Attribute Explanation
Attack Power TEC The damage increases as the TEC increases. No effect on MEL and RNG.
Enemy Defense Power TEC Def The damage decreases as the TEC Def increases. No effect on MEL Def and RNG Def.
Weapon Element Damage TEC Unlike Techniques, Weapon Elements are affected. It also affects the weapon's TEC.
Part Boost Elemental Attribute The entirety of the damage is treated as Elemental damage, and if you attack the weak point of the enemy, the multiplier for the damage increases. Melee Resistance, Ranged Resistance, and Technique Resistance have no effect.
Braver's Precision Stance skill is only applied if the Photonic Fury explosion matches the weak Element.
Final Attack Type MEL Skills that affect Melee damage, such as Wand Lovers and Hunter's Fury Stance skill are applied.
  • Skills/Potentials
    • Since the Final Attack Type is MEL, any skills that affect Melee damage are applied to the explosion.
    • Braver's Basic Stance is applied to both Wand hits and explosions.
Precision Stance is only applied upon hitting weak spots for Wand hits, but is applied for the explosion if it hits the weak spot or weak Element.
    • Since the explosion is not regarded as a Normal Attack, skills that boost the potency of Normal Attacks are not applied.
    • Since the explosion is not regarded as a Technique Attack, skills that boost the potency of Techniques are not applied.
    • Hunter's Perfect Attack Bonus 1 and 2 are applied to the explosion, but Perfect Fury Bonus is not applied.
  • Other
    • The Element of the explosion depends on the weapon's Element. There are 7 types, the 6 Elements + no Element.
    • Status Ailments are not applied on the explosions unless Wand Focus Element is learned.
