About Skill Rings

Skill Rings are equip items that augment the player's abilities in unique ways, much in the way of Skills do, hence the name. There are two types of Rings: Left Rings and Right Rings. Left Rings produce unique effects that allow players to manipulate their playstyle, while Right Rings typically emulate the effects of pre-existing Skills, with some exceptions.

To create a Skill Ring, you must acquire the requisite items by Harvesting them in Expeditions via the Gathering system. Once you have acquired the items, you may either take them to the Gathering console in the Gateway Ship or the Ring Shop in Franca's Café to create the Ring. Almost all Rings are also tradeable and may be purchased off the Personal Shop in the Visiphone Terminal.

Once you have a Skill Ring, you may equip it from the Armor Palette menu. You may equip one Left Ring and one Right Ring each. While they may typically only be changed via this menu, you may use chat commands to switch equipped Rings on the fly.

While a Skill Ring is being worn, 5% of any accrued EXP is added to the Ring. This increases an EXP gauge on the Ring, and when it reaches 100%, the Ring "levels up". Upon a successful level up, the Enhancement Cap of the Ring increases, enabling you to advance its Enhancement Level. To enhance a Ring, the Ring must be taken to the Item Lab. They will also request a set of Gathering Materials in addition to Grinders. Left Rings can also add +1 to an available stat to upgrade alongside the Enhancement Level. Many Rings will gain boosted effectiveness when enhanced.

The Enhancement Requirements for most Rings are as follows:

  • 30,000 Meseta Per Attempt
  • + 1 ~ 5: Grinders and Rocks
  • + 6 ~ 10: Grinders, Gems, and Rocks
  • + 11 ~ 20: Lambda Grinders, Grinders, Gems, and Rocks

Add Unit Skill

In the Item Lab, L Ring Skills can be added to units of 12 or higher (Back / Arms / Legs / Sub).

  • Overview of adding L Ring Skills to units
    • To add a Ring Skill to a unit, the L Ring, 12 or higher unit (or a 12 or higher unit that has the Skill), Lambda Grinder, and Meseta are required.
    • L Ring stats are not applied when adding the Skill to the unit.
    • The level of the skill already applied onto the unit cannot be enhanced.
      • If you want to add a higher level Skill Ring to the unit, the Skill Ring must be enhanced beforehand.
    • Up to 4 L-Ring Skills (L-Ring Slot, Back Slot, Arms Slot, Legs Slot) can be used.
      • If multiple copies of the same Skill Ring are used, only the one that has the highest level will be effective.
    • Adding the Skill to a unit will not consume the item.
    • Adding another Skill to a unit that already has one will overwrite the Skill on the unit.
    • When a Skill is added or copied, both the original unit/ring and the the unit that has the skill applied to will be permanantly account-bound, preventing the ability to list them onto Personal Shops or Trading.
    • Skills that have already been applied to the unit cannot be retreived as a Skill Ring.
