Hunter
The Hunter ("Hu") class is a standard melee class. Boasting a varied arsenal of strong Melee-type weaponry and a Skill Tree that promotes both offensive and defensive play, the Hunter class is well-suited for solo play.
Reaching Level 75 with this class grants the following base stat boosts to all class and characters on the same account: HP +50, +15, and +40
Class Weapon Overview
Hunters use three unique weapons: Swords, Wired Lances, and Partisans
Swords
A large broadsword used for heavy melee strikes. What it lacks in speed, it makes up for in raw damage. The Sword is a jack-of-all-trades weapon, possessing utility in almost any situation and being capable in a variety of areas. However, it lacks range compared to its other Hunter weapon counterparts. Swords can be powered up by the Skill Sword Focus, which grants them faster charge speeds and a variety of bonuses for staying on the offensive.
Sword's Weapon Action is Guard. By holding the Weapon Action Button, any attacks dealt to you will inflict sharply reduced damage and minimal knockback at the cost of PP.
Wired Lances
A pair of blades hooked to handles by an extendable cable. The specialized blades are capable of striking targets far and wide, at the cost of some raw damage. Wired Lances also excel in grappling targets, manipulating their positions and using them to strike other foes around them. Wired Lances can be powered up by the Skill Wired Lance Focus, which allows them to expend Gear built up by attacking to boost the strength of their grapple-type attacks.
Wired Lance's Weapon Action is Guard. By holding the Weapon Action Button, any attacks dealt to you will inflict sharply reduced damage and minimal knockback at the cost of PP.
Partizans
A long, bladed spear. Despite not having the sheer strength of a Sword, the Partisan makes up for it in its other attributes, with a solid attack speed and great range and mobility with its Photon Arts. The Partisan user can twirl their weapon following the usage of an attack or Photon Art to quickly restore PP, granting them excellent battlefield control as well. Partisans can be powered up by the Skill Partisan Focus, which allows them to expend Gear built up by twirling their Partisan to boost the strength of their Photon Arts.
Partisan's Weapon Action is Guard. By holding the Weapon Action Button, any attacks dealt to you will inflict sharply reduced damage and minimal knockback at the cost of PP.

Sword Focus

- Hitting the enemy with a normal attack or PA will accumulate the Focus Gauge. The gauge decreases overtime if no connecting hits are made.
- The Focus gauge is one of the most difficult to maintain among all weapons, and decreases quickly. This can be mitigated by having Hunter Focus Boost
- Cross Cut also gains extra damage depending on the gear level as well.
Wired Lance Focus
Focus Skill. Consumes a Focus bar to increase the power of grappling PAs.

- Hitting the enemy with a normal attack or a non-holding PA will accumulate the Focus Gauge. Using Perfect Attacks builds Focus quicker.
- Maximum Focus gauge is 3 slots, and using a hold type PA will consume one Focus gauge slot to increase the power.
- The power increase on hold type PAs is 130%.
- List of PAs boosted: Wire Driver, Grapple Kick, Heavenly Drop, Cyclone Driver, Twist Driver, Shocktether.
Partisan Focus
Focus Skill. Consumes a Focus bar to increase the power and range of PAs.

- Maximum Focus gauge is 3 slots, and using a PA will consume one Focus gauge slot to increase the power and range.
- Accumulated Focus gauge does not decrease other than using PAs.
- The power increase on most PAs is 110%. Exceptions to this rule:
- Rain of Tears: Only final strike is boosted.
- Sacred Skewer and Zero Sacred Skewer: boost is 120%.
- Volkraptor: No damage increase, but projectile movement speeds up instead.

Perfect Fury Bonus
While under the effects of Fury Stance, every successive Perfect Attack grants you a stacking damage bonus, up to a cap of 110%. Note: The percentages given essentially means how much damage bonus you gain per Perfect Attack. Meaning, 5% means you hit the max in two Perfect Attacks and 10% will get you to the cap in a single Perfect Attack.

- This skill does not activate if you are already at 1 HP. Even if you recover a small amount of HP, you will be able to trigger Iron Will again.
- Receiving fatal damage for more than half of your HP and activating Iron Will will not activate Auto-Mate Half, as the game will force your HP to 1 from the attack.
- When the skill is activated, a shield effect around your character shows up briefly.
- Learning Stalwart Spirit will extend your invincibility duration.
- Iron Will does not prevent you from surviving "Instant Death" attacks.
Stalwart Spirit
Enhances Iron Will by extending the invincibility duration and increasing your MEL by 200 for 60 seconds. Note: Does not add to Iron Will's invincibility, the cap is 15s of invincibility.

- The trigger condition occurs when you take a hit that goes past 50% of your Max HP. Does not occur if you take hits while you are below 50% Max HP.
- Auto-Mate Half will use Monomates, then Dimates, then Trimates in progressing order of availability.
- This means that if you have only Dimates and Trimates, Auto-Mate Half will use up Dimates first, then Trimates.
- The skill is also active while under the effects of Fighter's Overload skill (Max HP 25%).
- The trigger condition changes to 12.5% of your Max HP instead.

Guard

- Reduces damage taken from enemy attacks when guarding, but consumes 20 PP when it occurs. If you have less than 20 PP, the attack will go through your guard and you will be hit directly.
- Guarding does not prevent status ailments.
- Damage reduction rate is ~80% (up to 0.20x the amount of damage normally received).
- Does not prevent unguardable attacks.
Perfect Guard
Default Skill. Allows for a Guard to completely negate any damage if used right before an enemy's attack.

- A normal Guard will consume 20 PP, but a Perfect Guard will not consume PP and completely negate the damage taken and any status ailments.
- Upon Perfect Guarding, the endlag from guarding the attack disappears, and a shockwave called Guard Arts will occur, damaging enemies within the effective range.
- Perfect Guarding will make you invincible for roughly 1 second, and will not allow to guard attacks during that timeframe.
- Perfect Guarding will not prevent you from guarding unguardable attacks.
Perfect Counter
Default Skill. Turns attacks after a Perfect Guard into a Perfect Attack.

- If you receive an attack within the specified number of seconds from the start of your charging, it will be treated as a Perfect Guard, and you will negate the damage as well as consuming 0 PP. There is no need to press the weapon action button during like Blaze Parry.
- Healing Guard, Perfect Guard PP Gain, and Advanced Guard Stance can be activated from the Perfect Guard of this skill.
- Learning All Guard will also allow you to Perfect Guard in all directions with this skill.
- This skill will not trigger the effects of certain potentials and Perfect Guard Rings.
- The PAs that can benefit from Charged Parry are as follows. The time in () is the approximate time required for charging (based on max Focus for Swords).
