Overview

The Hunter's Sword is a relatively straightforward and hard-hitting weapon, but has somewhat short range.
Barring Calibur Streak, the Sword's PAs can be charged, can prevent flinching or a knock down (super armor) during a PA, and can be safely canceled with Guard, the Sword's Weapon Action, at any time before a PA ends.

With Hunter Arts Avenger and its related skills, PAs can have increased damage, restore PP, and invincibility by releasing the PA right before an enemy attacks.
Swords, unlike other Hunter weapons, can also Auto-Avenge after 1.5 seconds of reaching a charge state with a PA, and after 3 seconds, can Overcharge, doubling its damage, and can stack with Avenger bonuses.
