Welcome to Arks-Visiphone! To maintain a constructive environment, we have some ground rules to lay down.

If this is your first time here, we highly encourage editors to read the New Editors page to figure out how to create and edit pages as well as meet quality standards.

First of all, please be respectful. Do not use or promote mods that directly change the game client. Only post information and pictures from 'official' sources or from in-game. Use the Preview button when editing so that Special:RecentChanges doesn't have your name scrolling down the page.

Contributing

There are a few things you should know before you go off traipsing through the wiki making pages and editing. We are an English Wiki, and most content should be in proper English. This however, only applies to pages associated with the wiki. As such, this does not apply for personal User pages.

However, behavior that is clearly out of line will not be tolerated, even in User pages, and users may run the risk of being banned from the wiki if they are found partaking in this kind of behavior.

Textual Content

Good Bad
Dudu is an Item Lab Assistant in the Shop Area that provides various Item Lab facilities. Dudu is that guy that took all my money when I tried to get to step 10 on my weapon.
Accurate information that is simple to understand. Personal experience that does not accurately describe the subject at hand.

Textual content should be relevant to the page and only contain information from the game or trusted sources. There should not be discussion, speculation, opinions, or other unrelated content on the page. This however can go onto the discussion tab of that page.

Inserting off-topic content unrelated to the game, inappropriate content, deliberately false information, gibberish, or spam is strictly prohibited, and users may be reprimanded for doing so.

Write and present information in a way where complex topics can be simply understood.

Any offensive language of any kind will not be tolerated, and any offending users run the immediate risk of being banned from the wiki.

Visual Content

High quality images are important to the wiki. There are numerous ways to obtain them, but it is preferred that they be in the PNG format, or GIF if they need animation. Data is lost in JPG images, lowering the quality of the image.

For more information on our Image Policy, please review the How to Get Pictures Suitable for Wiki Use article.

Any image containing offensive, illegal materials, or sexual content will be promptly removed, and the user banned!

Text As-Is

As this wiki reflects the Global version of Phantasy Star Online 2 and Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, incorrect localization of text or effects may be represented as-is on pages, despite the text being faulty or incorrect to its actual effects.

Should a situation like this occur, an additional note may accompany the faulty text, indicating the error in the translation. In other minor cases, such as typos or grammar issues, we may choose to fix the text without leaving an accompanying note, such as a Sic. The wiki may choose to deviate from in-game text if the content would be better represented in such a way. As an example, Soaring Blades Weapons in Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis have an inconsistent naming scheme, with weapons ending with "Blade" and some weapons ending with "Blades". In such an instance, the wiki will reserve the right to move to a different naming convention as opposed to the current naming convention.

Use of Game Data

The wiki respectfully makes use of in-game data to enhance the quality and user experience of the site, in addition to decreasing the amount of time required to prepare content on the site. All copyrighted works of the respective data are property of SEGA Corporation.

This wiki does not endorse the dissemination of in-game data that may be harmful or detrimental to SEGA Corporation and its image.

User Pages

In your user page, you are given great freedom to write about whatever you like, provided they are appropriate in nature, and do not infringe on any of the site's policies. However, please do not treat it as your own personal blog nor link it to pages, templates, categories. This does not apply for sub-pages of your User page however.

If you do regularly use the User page for any other purposes unrelated to the development of this site, please consider contributing to the development of the wiki.

The Role of Moderators

Moderators have the role of managing users and confirming the quality of the wiki.

As a user, you cannot revert a moderator's edit. You may discuss it with that moderator on the talk page, but you cannot revert it. Their edits are considered formal decisions, whether to solve an argument or simply bring a section of the wiki up to quality standards.

If you believe that a moderator's behavior is incorrect or inappropriate, then you can bring it up either on their talk page.
