Buster Quests are tower defense quests set in the world of Omega. They take inspiration from the Mining Base line of Urgent Quests and utilize a ranking system to determine the difficulty and rewards of the quest.

===Quest Description===

The Castrum Demonica in Alternate Dimension: Omega has become active. Go to Omega and destroy the Castrum Demonica. The key to this battle will be the "Buster Ram" weapon, made to break through Castrum Demonica's barrier. We're counting on you!

===Overview===

Buster Quests have the objective of defeating a castle (Arx Demonica) guarded by the barrier of its walls (Castrum Demonica), while making sure the players' Buster Towers are kept safe. Based on the chosen region of Omega the quest takes place in, the enemy forces will gain a boost corresponding to the region. From Grade 3 and upwards, the enemies will also gain a percentage boost to three of their stats based on the collective player levels and Grades. (Gotta research brb)

Buster Quests are divided into multiple phases, each dictating the flow of gameplay.

===Setup===

At the start of each Buster Quest, all players will be confined in a small area near the Buster Towers to collect Mana Points.

===Phases===

=====Defend=====

Defend the towers from incoming enemies. The Arx Demonica during this time will utilize its magic to summon towers, send bombs, and various attacks to destroy your towers.

=====Buster=====

Defend the Buster Rams from incoming enemies. After a certain amount of time, each surviving Buster Ram will destroy a pillar of the barrier.

Before the start of this phase, 30 seconds of respite where no enemies appear will occur, as the Buster Rams are being materialized. Once materialized, the phase begins.

The amount of buster rams that appear depends on the Mana Level. For each mana level before the start of the phase, an additional buster ram will be prepared to be spawned.

Should there be more Buster Rams than pillars to attack, additional Buster Rams will go for the closest pillar to them, deviating from a straight path forward.

Should not all pillars be destroyed and no more Buster Rams remains, the battle will enter another Defend phase.

The number of pillars to destroy varies based on selected game mode: on Main Match and Free Match, two towers need to be destroyed, while on Main Match Advanced, four towers need to be destroyed.

=====1st Attack=====

Should all pillars of the castle be destroyed, a central stairway passageway to the Castrum Demonica will open. Attack the Arx Demonica's Abdominal Core.

The top of the stairs is guarded by several foes but do not need to be eliminated to complete the phase.

=====2nd Attack=====

Destroy the Arx Demonica. Two paths open and require all foes on both paths to make progress. After, access to the bridge will open and allow players to destroy both arms of the Arx Demonica, which will then open a path to the core.

Defeating the core will complete the quest.

===Random Events===

Buster Quests can occasionally have random events within a phase.

=====EX Attack=====

Xiera provides support based on the current phase of the match.

* Defend: ???

* Buster: After a Buster Phase, there is a chance that Xiera will immediately enable a second Buster Phase should there still be pillars left.

* Attack: Increases the cooldown timer for the Castrum Demonica to fire it's lasers upon the buster towers.

=====Accidents=====

Accidents are events that aid the enemies in one way or the other.

* Demonic Bulwark Summon: A wide wall will impede short distance movement between the buster towers.

* Demonic Detonators: The Castrum Demonica will start channelling powerful AOE attacks similar to Photon Punishers at target locations, dealing severe damage to players caught in the blast.

* Bombs: the Arx Demonica will send waves of bombs towards the towers at a more frequent pace. Failing to destroy one in time will destroy the tower regardless of health, like Fal Vibras' bombs. Unlike Fal Vibras, the bombs are marked on the minimap as a red V shape.

* Silos (not real name): the Arx Demonica sends Silos towards the towers. After landing, every few seconds, a shockwave in the shape of a cross is emitted. Marked on the minimap as a red V shape.

* Omega Hyunal: Rare chance to encounter [[Omega Hyunal]] as a boss at the start of the Defend phase.

===Grade===

Buster Quests utilize a ranking system to determine the group of players and the difficulty of the quest. There are three Grades, as well as the Advance mode.

* Grade 1: lv20

* Grade 2: lv50

* Grade 3: lv75

* Grade 3+ (Advance): No level adjustment.

Enemy HP, Attack and Dexterity is boosted by a percentage based on the average BP of players.

===Base Weapons===

At the start of a match, up to four randomly selected players will be assigned to select the Base's Weapons Set, a collection of traps, firepower, and utility devices. There are four preset selections, each one designed for a particular playstyle.

* '''Balanced Type''': Default set, gives a good variety of options for most situations.

** Slowing Trap

** Force Barrier

** Gatling Turret

** Photon Punisher

** Telepipe Cannon

** Freezing Barrier

* '''Attack Type''': Excels in offense at the cost of defence. Players must make the most of the Photon Laser Cannons for it to be effective.

** Gatling Turret x2

** Shotgun Turret

** Photon Punisher

** Photon Laser Cannon x3

* '''Defense Type''': Excels in aiding defensively the bases, these bases provide the utility to stop the enemies in their tracks but require players supply their own damage to be effective.

** Slowing Trap x2

** Force Barrier x2

** Shotgun Turret

** Telepipe Cannon

** Freezing Barrier

* '''Special Type''': Unique for having two Photon Punishers, this base type requires full user interaction to be effective for all its tools are user controlled.

** Force Barrier

** Photon Laser Cannon

** Photon Punisher x2

** Freezing Barrier

The traps/weapons/utilities:

* Slowing Trap: Flat white tiles on the floor. Slows enemies a bit upon stepping on it. Slowed enemies are tinted deep blue.

* Force Barrier: Thin but wide device with a terminal attached to it. Upon activating it, creates an impenetrable wall for enemies (but still allows players through) for a few seconds.

* Gatling Turret: A stationary turret. Upon entry of an enemy within its long range, will continuously fire and deal damage to all foes in its way.

* Shotgun Turret: '''???'''

* Photon Laser Cannon: A user guided turret, used in the fashion as in Mining Base. Upon firing, the turret will not disappear, however, and can be reused if there are enough usages left.

* Photon Punisher: A user controlled massive mortar-like device. Access the terminal to enter an aiming view from the skies, letting you charge to full a powerful laser at the designated point that deals massive damage. The target reticule moves at a slower pace while charging.

* Telepipe Cannon: A user controller Telepipe placement device. Access the terminal to enter an aiming view from the skies, letting you position a Telepipe exit. Upon placing an exit, the Telepipe of the device can then be used to access the exit point. The exit point can also be used to return to the device Telepipe.

* Freezing Barrier: A terminal attached to the Buster Tower, which upon activation freezes their surroundings and eliminates tower infections (even if not fully materialized), like Mining Base. A tower with Attack Type Base Weapons will not have this utility.
