{{icons|Hunter}}{{icons|Fighter}} Partisan is the best weapon, don't at me. Swords and Katanas can go cower in fear at the stock market price of their weapons and Scion classes are feeble weaklings while we Partisan mains Volkraptor with elegance and dignity our foes with earned technical grace. Partisans are so good they don't need a Scion class: they are already perfect.

Buster Quests are tower defense quests set in the world of Omega. They take inspiration from the Mining Base line of Urgent Quests and utilize a ranking system to determine the difficulty of the quest.

Overview

Buster Quests have the objective of defeating a castle (Arx Demonica) guarded by the barrier of its walls (Castrum Demonica), while making sure the players' Buster Towers are kept safe. Based on the chosen region of Omega the quest takes place in, the enemy forces will gain a boost corresponding to the region. From Rank 3 and upwards, the enemies will also gain a percentage boost to three of their stats based on the collective player levels and ranks. (Gotta research brb)

Buster Quests are divided into multiple phases, each dictating the flow of gameplay.

Setup

At the start of each Buster Quest, all players will be confined in a small area near the Buster Towers to collect Mana Points.

Phases

Defend

Defend the towers from incoming enemies. The Arx Demonica during this time will utilize its magic to summon towers, send bombs, and various attacks to destroy your towers.

Buster

Defend the Buster Rams from incoming enemies. After a certain amount of time, each surviving Buster Ram will destroy a pillar of the barrier.

Before the start of this phase, 30 seconds of respite where no enemies appear will occur, as the Buster Rams are being materialized. Once materialized, the phase begins.

The amount of buster rams that appear depends on the Mana Level. For each mana level before the start of the phase, an additional buster ram will be prepared to be spawned.

Should there be more Buster Rams than pillars to attack, additional Buster Rams will go for the closest pillar to them, deviating from a straight path forward.

Should not all pillars be destroyed and no more Buster Rams remains, the battle will enter another Defend phase.

1st Attack

Attack the Arx Demonica. The first time involves destroying the bottom's weak point.

2nd Attack

Destroy the Arx Demonica. Two paths open and require all foes on both paths to make progress. After, access to the bridge will open and allow players to destroy both arms of the Arx Demonica, which will then open a path to the core.

Defeating the core will complete the quest.

Random Events

Buster Quests can occasionally have random events within a phase.

EX Attack

Xiera provides support based on the current phase of the match.

  • Defend: ???
  • Buster: After a Buster Phase, there is a chance that Xiera will immediately enable a second Buster Phase should there still be pillars left.
  • Attack: Increases the cooldown timer for the Castrum Demonica to fire it's lasers upon the buster towers.
Accidents

Accidents are events that aid the enemies in one way or the other.

  • Demonic Bulwark Summon: A wide wall will impede short distance movement between the buster towers.
  • Bombs: the Arx Demonica will send waves of bombs towards the towers at a more frequent pace. Failing to destroy one in time will destroy the tower regardless of health, like Fal Vibras' bombs. Unlike Fal Vibras, the bombs are marked on the minimap as a red V shape.
  • Silos (not real name): the Arx Demonica sends Silos towards the towers. After landing, every few seconds, a shockwave in the shape of a cross is emitted. Marked on the minimap as a red V shape.
  • Omega Hyunal: Rare chance to encounter Omega Hyunal as a boss at the start of the Defend phase.

Buster Points

Buster Quests utilize a ranking system to determine the group of players and the difficulty of the quest. There are three ranks, as well as the Advance mode.

  • Rank 1: lv20
  • Rank 2: lv50
  • Rank 3: lv75
  • Rank 3+ (Advance): No level adjustment.

Enemy HP, Attack and Dexterity is boosted by a percentage based on the average BP of players.

Base Weapons
