FORMERS is the common name for enemies that look like beasts or automata. All FORMERS are variants of enemies encountered by the interplanetary fleet Oracle, 1,000 years in the past.

They are more violent than TAMES and will attack ARKS defenders on sight.

Ard Banser's wind attacks—including his roar—can all potentially inflict Blind. Breaking all four of his claws will cause the Banser to stumble after leaps.
Unlike his female counterpart, Ard Banser cannot launch razorwinds while grounded. However, he can instead perform quick charge tackles, backflips, and use his wind tunnel while in the air.
