Chat Commands are special words that can be typed in chat to invoke various commands, which include changing loadouts from anywhere in the lobby, synthesizing chat bubbles, emoting emotes and more.

The commands listed below are all gathered based on information from the Japanese Official Site, which are confirmed to work on the Global version.

A list of Chat Commands available for use only on Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis can be viewed on this page.

Symbol Arts

Command Result

Emotes

Command Result
/la <action name> Performs the specified emote according to your character's gender.
/mla <action name> Performs the male version of the specified emote.
/fla <action name> Performs the female version of the specified emote.
/cla <action name> Performs the opposite gender version of the specified lobby emote. (ie. Acts as /fla on a male character, etc...)
/la hsi1 Triggers a variant of a currently active emote (if the emote supports) equivalent to pressing the left mouse button, X, or Square (default bindings - varies for custom bindings). This will not take effect unless you are already performing an emote with button variations. (e.g. The chat message "/fla zekutomitarashi" can be followed by a separate message "/la hsi1" to change it to the upright, hands-on-hips variation, and using "/la hsi1" again will cycle it to the airborne hug variation)
/la hsi2 Triggers a variant of a currently active emote (if the emote supports) equivalent to pressing the right mouse button, Y, or Triangle (default bindings - varies for custom bindings). This will not take effect unless you are already performing an emote with button variations. (e.g. The chat message "/fla zekutomitarashi" can be followed by a separate message "/la hsi2" to change it to the airborne hug variation, and using "/la hsi1" again will cycle it to the upright, hands-on-hips variation)

Animated emotes can be paused mid animation by adding "s(x)" or "ss(x)" to the end of the command, where x specifies how long the animation is to play before pausing, eg. "/la dance1 s5". "s" will pause the animation for 10 seconds, while "ss" will pause indefinitely. This command can only be used by premium users.

You can obtain the command name of an emote by using the "Emotes" button in the log window.
