Harvesting is PSO2's gathering system, primarily supplying the materials for the Culinary Shop and Skill Ring synthesis and enhancement. There are two types of harvesting: mining and fishing, each with its own dedicated stamina bar. Both bars have a regeneration cap of 100 points, though this cap can be exceeded by other stamina restoratives (items, gather level up bonus). Each harvest costs 10 points from the appropriate stamina bar. You can replenish either bar with stamina drinks, or allow them to regenerate naturally with time. It takes 5 hours to fully replenish stamina from 0.
Harvesting spots can be found within Exploration missions, each allowing 3 harvest attempts before respawning at a new location nearby. Each harvest will increase the combo meter by one, and clearing a harvest spot will grant an additional +1/2 to this counter. As the combo meter builds it increases the likelihood of triggering a gathering "Fever!", guaranteeing one after the 15th point.
During a gathering Fever rare items will become more common, and each gather will result in multiple items. Additionally, harvest spots will no longer despawn during the Fever period.
Each material has its own size and classification. Consuming food will increase the likelihood of harvesting items matching that food's gathering buff. For example, to increase the chances of mining Naverius Rock you could use Sashimi to boost Minerals, or Coast Mussel to boost Small size rate.
